Save Our Homes. Stop AEP in Worthington Hills.

Protecting families, homeownership, and the Worthington Hills community.
Save Our Homes. Stop AEP in Worthington Hills. is a neighborhood campaign dedicated to protecting the families, homes, property values, and infrastructure of our beloved community.
Our mission is to raise awareness about the risks posed by AEP's multi-year plan to widen and industrialize an existing power line easement in Worthington Hills North.
Join us in our efforts to safeguard the beauty and safety of Worthington Hills and prevent irreparable damage.
Why Support Our Cause
AEP's North Columbus Transmission Line Project is a multi-year project threatening Worthington Hills North. It demands that homeowners surrender additional land, property rights and community integrity.
Here's what AEP's plan would force on our neighborhood:

Threaten Property Rights
Homeowners will be forced to give up rights to significant portions of their land, losing the freedom to use their own backyards as they always have.

Toxic Chemical Use
AEP will spray toxic "forever" chemicals in our backyards, by foot and by air.

Destruction of Spaces
Mature trees, wheelchair-accessible patios, landscaped gardens, privacy fences, decks, children's play areas - will all be removed and homeowners will not allowed to be replant or rebuild.

A Risk to Property Values
This project will significantly risk the value of homes in Worthington Hills North.

Industrial Intrusion
Steel poles towering 70–80 feet tall, with a permanent, clear cut 50-foot easement making room for a utility right-of-way and AEP vehicles will be part of the Worthington Hills North neighborhood.

Jeopardize Neighborhood Safety
The removal of mature, natural barriers and potential regrading risk thru-traffic from Powell to Worthington Hills.

Join Our Cause
I will never forget watching children play basketball for the first time at the dead end of Fairway Drive - I thought it was so special that children (and adults) did not have to worry about traffic. I am so sad that the privacy and sanctity of our community is now at-risk.
